Saint Paul Public Schools sold a unique 5.5-acre site in St. Paul to the J.A. Wedum Foundation, a local non-profit. Wedum wanted to meet the demand for senior housing in the Highland/West 7th neighborhood with an active senior lifestyle community at this prominent site.

The team worked collaboratively with the City of St. Paul and Ramsey County to implement their long-range plans of re-routing Lexington Parkway by splitting the site and creating two developments, called Lexington Landing.

Lexington Landing is a five-story 154-unit senior living community managed by Presbyterian Homes & Services that blends independent living, assisted living and memory care services. Anchored by a 20,000 sq. ft. town center, the project includes a bistro, exercise room, theater, library, community room and other common areas. The design embraces the characteristics of its surrounding neighborhoods, nearby natural amenities, and energy of the busy location.

Phase 1 opened in December 2020. EDI was the development consultant and Henricksen was the FF&E partner.
