Former mayor, Albert J. Hofstede, spoke during the event. He is one of the original founders of Catholic Eldercare.
The 40,000 sq. ft. facility provides patients recovering from surgery, injury, or stroke with a place of healing while still maintaining their independence. The addition offers additional rehabilitation services, Adult Day program, as well as physical and speech therapies.
For the past three decades, Catholic Eldercare has offered multiple residential nursing communities in Northeast Minneapolis. Its specialties include assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The Transitional Care Unit is expected to be completed in 2016.
