Pope Architects meticulously designed WoodsEdge as a comfortable home to appeal to the seniors in northern Minnesota.
The senior living expansion transforms the 80 acre site into a continuum of care campus, which is owned and operated by Sanford Health. Ecumen was the project development consultant.
WoodsEdge was recognized by Minnesota SAGE as a 2012 Innovative Design project for its therapeutic environment for residents living with Alzheimer’s or Dementia. A furniture repair workbench engages resident activity and safe “tinkering”, and a fishing tackle box and photo display encourages residents to reminisce about their own “big catch”.
