Prairie Ridge Hospital faced an aging facility that was not able to keep up with the changing medical needs of the community.
Pope Architects developed a Master Facility Plan to assess the condition of the facility and offer options to allow Prairie Ridge to plan for the future. The master plan laid the groundwork for a 53,000 sq. ft. replacement hospital.
The replacement hospital opened in 2014 and is designed to be efficient and cost-effective with minimal square footage. It features a 10-room inpatient unit, large versatile surgery suite, a large endoscopy procedure room, 15 exam rooms, and an emergency department with 2 exam rooms and a trauma room.
