McLaughlin Gormley King Company (MGK®) is a Minnesota-based insecticide maker, founded in 1902. The company needed to expand for a growing workforce while creating a more updated, efficient environment for employees engagement and the development of its products.
Following a programming and fit planning process, MGK selected an existing building in Brooklyn Park to move its office, lab, production and warehouse functions.
Much of the existing lab and production environments will be retained with minimal updates. The nearly 50,000 sq. ft. of office space located on both floors will be gutted and rebuilt to meet MGK’s needs and brand. The office build-out will create private and open work zones along with conference rooms, training, break room and fitness center. To improve wayfinding and update the first impression, the exterior entrance will be updated.
