| WoodsEdge at North Country |
| |
The WoodsEdge at North Country Project consists of multiple residential senior housing additions at Neilson Place, an existing 78-bed skilled nursing facility. The facility is located on a heavily wooded 80-acre site in Bemidji, Minnesota that is adjacent to and owned by North Country Health Services Hospital.
The project transforms the site into a senior continuum of care campus providing specialized dementia care, independent senior housing and senior health services to residents. The design connects the project to the existing nursing home, creating a contiguous community, which takes full advantage of staff, common spaces, food service and delivery, and activity programming.
The Owner’s interest in sustainability encouraged them to pursue LEED Certification. The project is registered with the USGBC's LEED program and is currently in the evaluation process. |
