United Family Medicine had been experiencing an increase in services and a growth in patient visits, and determined they needed a new clinic. The Clinic selected Pope Associates to design a new facility that includes family practice, urgent care and dental services. Ancillary services also include lab and imaging.
Residents training at United Hospital learn vital clinical service skills at the new center. The clinic design will create an environment that promotes physician interaction and collaboration. To encourage sustainability and efficient operations, the United Family Medicine Clinic decided to pursue LEED® certification. Following completion, the project successfully achieved LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

United Family Medicine Clinic and Pope Associates benchmarked clinics throughout the metropolitan Twin Cities to identify and incorporate "best practices" in patient care, traffic flows and "lean healthcare."
Pope Associates also assisted United Family Medicine in site selection — analyzing sites along the West Seventh/Fort Road urban corridor in St. Paul. Once the site was selected, United Family Medicine and Pope Associates worked together to develop a building image sensitive to the historical context of Fort Road. |
