| River Valley YMCA in Prior Lake |

The new River Valley YMCA in Prior Lake provides an integral recreational component to the multi-use Shepherd's Path Community Campus, which connects worship, housing and lifestyle support facilities. The facility serves Prior Lake community, as well as McKenna Crossing residents, Shepherd of the Lake parishioners and neighbors within the Shepherd's Path community.
With the committee of multiple clients, Pope Associates planned and implemented the first phase of the Shepherd's Path campus, McKenna Crossing, an assisted, independent and memory care living facility. Pope then partnered with the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis to design the new 50,000 sq. ft. YMCA. The facility is connected to the existing church, and features a 3-lane lap pool, activity pool, family locker rooms, fitness center, licensed day care center, kidszone, exercise studios and outdoor playground area.
Construction began in August 2008 and the new YMCA celebrated its grand opening in October 2009. |

| The story of Shepherd’s Path is a story of collaboration between the Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church community, Presbyterian Homes of Minnesota, Senior Housing Partners and the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis. Working with all the participants, Pope is assisting in bringing this exciting vision into reality. |
